The City Museum consists of 36 rooms in which almost 800 works are displayed. Among them, 41 have been donated and 39 have been bought in order to complete the collections and fill the gaps caused by the war. Among the latter we highlight the Portrait of a young friar by Guido Cagnacci (1998) and the four Allegoric Figures by Giovan Battista Ballanti (1999). Among the recent donations, the one made by Gustavo Voltolini (1995) is certainly the most significant. Consisting of 36 paintings by local modern painters, it has not been displayed yet, as there is no room enough. The museum has also received various important trusts: we owe the main ones to the Dome's Capitol, The Fondazione Cassa di Risparmi di Rimini (Rimini Savings Banks Fuoundation), the Saint Jerome Confraternity, The Gambalunga Library, the Provincial Administration of Rimini, the Ausl (Local Health Service).
