Four "Allegories"

Pieces of furniture benches, chests, tables, mirrors, and frames from different periods are placed in various spots of the Museum, but mainly in the Portraits Gallery. They are insufficient, though, if one wants to trace a schematic profile of tastes and styles.

Both the drawings signed by the painter and architect Gaetano Stegani (true projects for precious ecclesiastic furnishings conceived in the sphere of the purest Bolognese baroque) and the recently acquired terracotta allegorical figures with typical neo-classic motives, made by Giovanni Battista Graziani from Faenza, are a precious integration to the 18th and 19th century furniture
