SUMMER 2009
THE INITIATIVES OF MUNICIPAL MUSEUMS
The program of “Summer to the museum 2009”plans the traditional appointment with a cycle of meetings “Sere d'estate”, exhibitions at the City Museum and at Museum of Regards, but also a set of guided tours and a course of ancient paint.
The first appointment are the guided tour among museums, Surgeon's house, Gambalunga's library, monuments and churches of the city.
Each tour starts from the City Museum and costs 3 euro.
RIMINI AND INHERITANCE OF THE ANCIENTS
Guided tour to admire the Roman remains , source of inspiration for the renaissance architecture: from the Tiberio's bridge to the Augusto's arch, passing through the Foro, the Malatesta's temple to close with the halls of the City Museum.
On Thursdays of July and August, at 10.00 (lasts 2 hours)
INSIDE THE ANCIENT HALL
After a short introduction on Alessandro Gambalunga, founder of the historical library, follow the visit to the halls of XVIII century.
In cooperation with Gambalunga civic library.
ART AND FAITH IN THE CHURCHES OF RIMINI
The initiative, promoted by the Diocese and the municipal museum of Rimini proposes itineraries to discover the great heritage of the churches of the city.
Edited by Michela Cesarini. The tour lasts 2 hours.
Wednesday 15 July and 12 August, at 10.00:Giotto and the masterpieces of the Rimini school of XIV century from the Malatesta temple to saint Agostino and Museums hall.
Wednesday 29 July and 26 August at 10.00: the churches of Piazza Ferrari and the paint of Guido Cagnacci (with a visit to the Suffragio church and the halls regarding the XVII century, located inside the museum of the city).
GUIDED TOUR TO THE SURGEON'S HOUSE AND TO THE ARCHAELOGICAL SECTION OF THE MUSEUM OF THE CITY
Guided tour to the archaeological area of Piazza Ferrari, which encloses 2000 years of History, and to the museum halls in which people can admire objects founded in the archaeological excavation

WALKING THROUGH THE PAST
From 16 June to 15 September on Tuesdays at 21.30 people could take part in this guided tour to see the Historical centre and its most important monuments, with the possibility to visit also the museum of the city and the Surgeon' s House. In cooperation with CAMAS.

Cost: 3 euro per person; free for children under 7
The guided city tour provided for English, Deutsch and French translations.

SUMMER EVENINGS TO THE MUSEUM 2009
The meetings will start 14 July with the projection of cartoons edited by Cartoon Club. The appointment is at the museum of the city (garden of the Roman lapidary, or in case of bad weather in the judgement hall). Free entry. The calendar is:

Poets under the stars
Protagonists Liliana Fabbri, Ivo Gigli, Miro Gori, Lucia Lombardi, Milena Massani, Antonio Zavoli. The Evening, with reading of poems with incidental music, is presented by Carlo Falvo. Edited by KAR.MA company.
The program of exhibitions includes also, with free entry, the Museum of Regards and its temporary exhibitions:
The mysterious lines of Nasca
The photography of the hierogliphics of Nasca, representing Holy animals and aenigmatic lines drawn by man during the pre-Inca Age.
In cooperation with CISRAP, study centre on pre-Colombian archaeology of Brescia (Giuseppe Orefici).

Eric Tournaire “Cosmogonies and African legends”
Pictures and mixed techniques inspired to Africa, cradle of civilisation, which became him source of inspiration. Basic is the magic of the nature in the large, with its power and its primitive cosmogonies.
In cooperation with NerA Galley of Bologna (Grazia Mezzetti and Guido Candela).
Period: 1 August- 27 September 2009
The Museum of the city, from 14 to 31 July 2009, will host the exhibition “Osvaldo Cavandoli, magic line” edited by Cartoon Club.
The summer offers also the possibility to attend the course (3 lessons) “The light in the gilding of the Rimini school of XIV century”, edited by Antonietta Corsini. The course is divided into 2 parts, a theoretical one with the history of gilding and the works exposed to the museum of the city and a practical one with the realization of a work of gilding.
