Rimini museums

An ancient heart beats within the walls of Rimini. The town's history is told not only by its ancient monuments, but also by the Museum housed in the 18th century former Jesuit College. Though being the heir to collections which began to be assembled in the 19th century, the Civic Museum actually only came into being in 1981, thanks to a project, which, once completed, will bring together items dating from prehistoric to contemporary times. There are more than 1,500 items on display in this 'house of memories', a mirror to an area whose roots lie in the encounter between land and sea.
